I, Jannine (Steve's partner) have suggested on numerous occassions that a 5 year plan needs to be done, still nothing has happened, I have even offered to undertake the project with help from others. Perhaps these are in the same boat as the action plans I develop to give the club some direction, again they have been discarded. I continue to try to help the club as I have knoweldge in the area of action plans and forward planning as I am sure there are others in the club who would have similar knowledge and between us we could do an excellent job.

I understand that we need to get the club and race meeting working first, as someone said 'small steps" but there also needs to be a group working on where will we be in 5 years; this is also a requirement from the council.

Lets use this forum to make suggestions on how to improve; some of the things I have read are excellent, eg the photos of the flaggys box, which I think was from Port Pirie (has been taken off site so sorry if I got this wrong) and many other comments. We must also remember that there is only a few people who read this forum and the suggestions also need to be bought to the committee meetings for all members to see and discuss. Some of you guys/gals have been doing this for many years, we have only just started so if you have constructive suggestions then let the committee know and I can only hope that the committee and its members take all on board any suggestions for discussion and a positive outcome.

Look forward to seeing you around the tracks.

Jannine Vaughan

Hello Jannine,

A plan is a great idea and also holding other events. I think people from our club have jumped on Steve's question because we have, in the past discussed this at length at meetings and we raised the fact that the rule book & association allows these events eg :- Other clubs run Burnout comps, motor X displays, gymkhanas, motor bike racing, demo Derby's etc... .Roxby have a go cart track with in their facility, so this is no issue. Members from other clubs have jumped on it because it was made clear by alot of people, first and foremost that they want to see us promoting our club 100% as a dirt circuit facility and other events will come later. We now have very experienced members from other clubs who have all the answers we need to run a successful club. Our last club info night was great, Most of the ideas of our new members / drivers were implemented at our recent race meeting and I'm sure tonight they will have the answers to fix the current issues with the track.

Cheers
Matt

On saturday the heavens willing
we are going to put down the pad and the stumps for the tower
measure up how long the top straight viewing section is so we can work out how much chain mesh we need ( its not cheap @100 per 15 metres)
and taking the rule book in one hand and marking stick in the other we are going to look at differnt options for the start flag person when races are going anti clock wise
several options have ben disussed for positioning the start flag including inside the track.
we also have some bigger flags for the start line

dont ban hi performance cars .....ban low performance drivers

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."
