Hi all

Both are iron knob tracks!!

In the late seventies iron knob had there first track built I was 13 and racing minibikes and the Whyalla minibike club was invited to race there on their opening day. Iron Knob was booming, I am not sure how long the club lasted i recon it was about 10 years. BHP wanted the land back and the hiway to Kimba was moved and the track closed. Then in the early nineties a small group of Whyalla people got the use of the old horse racing track to use which lasted 3 or 4 years on the Easter weekend . 3 days of racing and three days of bands and parties what a life!!!!!! It was great. The first pic is the second track and the second pic is the first track they had in the 70s the dark area is the motor bike track

Regards Carl
